Training Process

Your key to a legal training contract and qualification as a solicitor

Stage 1

  • Induction training
  • Internal training by practicing solicitors and barristers
  • External training with external lectures
  • Registration with an assessment organisation

Stage 2

  • Observing a supervising solicitor
  • Preparation of Part A portfolio
  • Training in portfolio preparation
  • Submitting Part A portfolio for a pass certificate and confirmation

Stage 3

  • Submitting application form with Legal Services Commission for Probationary Registration
  • Training for the Critical Incidents Test exam
  • Training for Part B portfolio
  • Arranging for submissions of Part B portfolio

Your training contract will be for 2 years. However, this accreditation gives you a high probability of reducing your training contract by a period of upto 6 months. This in turn doubles your earning potential by upto 6 months in advance. Of course any dispensation is at the discretion of the Law Society/Solicitors Regulatory Authority!

There is a shortage in police station accredited representatives and they are in constant demand. Upon qualification the Legal Services Commission will give you a grant of £400. (CDS13)

Once you are qualified you will be very eligible for employment by a criminal practice or you can work as a self-employed agent. We know of agents trained by us who earn in excess of £1,000 per week.
